The core responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Responsibility for all general ledger accounts and reconciliations that relate to Financial Operations - Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and banking activities
Ensure that balance sheet positions are reconciled and understood.
Analyse and provide commentary on key variances.
Review of bank account reconciliations (approx. 40) and follow up of open items with AR and AP teams as well as the Treasury Analyst
Assist with cashflow forecasting and provide cover for Treasury Analyst
Prepare a month end pack for review by Senior Manager, Financial Ops and Treasury covering all balance sheet general ledger accounts and identifying any issues
Preparing working papers for auditors - internal and external - and be able to clearly explain reconciliations and accounting matters
Working with Financial Operations team and other departments to continually improve processes and understand the general ledger impacts of actions or potential actions
Provide support to other members of the finance team as needed.
The successful candidate will:
- Ideally be studying towards a professional accounting qualification - ACCA or CIMA
- Have practical working knowledge of Management Accounts
- Have excellent IT skills
- Have excellent interpersonal skills
