PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS Ensures that management is provided with useful information and is appropriately informed. Ensures that financial reports, research, and financial analyses are accurate and timely. Makes suggestions for improved controls or changes in profitability and pricing. Ensures that financial functions are conducted in accordance with established Credit Union policies, procedures and standards. Ensures cash and funding projections are accurate. Ensures a positive, professional business relationship exist with vendors and external contacts. Ensures good coordination and effective communication exist with other departments. Ensures financial records, market data, schedules, ledgers, and files are accurately, completely and properly backed-up. Ensures that the client's professional reputation is maintained and conveyed.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION: Equivalent to a bachelor"s degree in finance, accounting, computer information system, economics or a related field. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE: Technical knowledge of accounting concepts, financial modeling practices and understanding of SQL and various data models as well as in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Excel. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: One year to five years of previous experience in financial/business planning and analysis, data analytics or a similar role, in the financial service industry. SKILLS/ABILITIES: Critical thinking and problem-solving skills are important for a financial business analyst, as are a high attention to detail and the ability to become familiar with new information. Excellent communication and presentation skills are crucial. Position requires retrieving information from a variety of sources, such as core system, MCIF, lending data warehouse, websites, emails, calls with key contacts, or face-to-face interactions. Work entails information provided is up-to-date and accurate to prevent conflicts. Work requires analytical ability, judgment, and ingenuity. Positions may require a significant degree of creativity. POSITION PURPOSE

Enhances the quality of life for our members and team peers by meeting or exceeding their service expectations. Responsible for collecting, organizing, researching, projecting, forecasting, and analyzing financial data, market data as well as applying socioeconomic insights. Develops analyses, and forecasts within the context of how financial products and services should perform and function. Systematically monitors and applies mathematical models to produce objective answers about historical and market data. Projects cash availability and funding requirements. Ensures that financial and business objectives support the overall growth and strategic goals of the Credit Union.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Prepares financial and business reports that serve as summary information for management. Identifies relevant insights and compile analytical reports that enable management to make sounds decisions. Prepares forward-looking forecasts by identifying financial and business trends, analyzing and interpreting data, making comparative analyses, monitoring variances, and making recommendations to management. Compiles and collects information throughout the organization to improve current workflow and methods used in the collection of data that retain the integrity and security of the information collected. Gathers and analyzes data on consumers and competitors, then provides actionable management insights and recommendations. Performs research on economic and market conditions to examine and optimize potential business opportunities of a product or service. Coordinate and collaborate with Credit Union team members and 3rd party vendors to implement solutions to satisfy business needs. Serves as Asset Liability Management specialist in running simulation models, updating historical records, providing forecasts, validating data and model assumptions. Monitors cash requirements, deposit and loan flows, cash availability, and funding projections and requirements. Develops and performs complex studies and analyses of existing and proposed products, services, or business functions to determine the cost of operations and profitability. Assists in identifying strategies to maximize interest margins, improve fee income and control operating expense. Performs ad-hoc projects and analysis including what if scenarios, new products and services, industry research and analysis. Serves as financial resources to other divisions including branch operations, lending and marketing. All other duties assigned by the CFO and executive management.
