This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong accountant to assist the business with driving their financial reporting transformation plan.

My client are a global retail business who are well known and have an excellent market reputation.
Description
The key responsibilities within this role:
* Drive the Financial Reporting Transformation plan including the following:
- Automating manual processes
- Inputting legacy data into the Finance system
- Documenting processes
* Look for ways to improve current processes to grow accuracy and understanding of the company position;
* Be able to explain financial information to non-financial stakeholders in a clear and engaging way;
* Support the senior management team and peers as required;
* Complete ad-hoc projects as required outside of normal duties.
* Have a high-level technical knowledge including a clear understanding of current accounting standards (IFRS).
* Assist in achieving statutory accounting deadlines including an April year end.
Profile
The successful candidate for this position will be:
* A fully qualified accountant - ACCA/CIMA/ACA, or equivalent
* Able to demonstrate a track record of process improvements
* Proactive, driven, resilient, and able to work under your own initiative
* Able to analyse detail and enjoy resolving problems. You enjoy making things better
* Able to hit the ground running, with a positive and driven attitude to make a real difference
* A strong communicator, able to build relationships with the team and cross functional team members
