Job Details

As the Finance Manager, you will be ultimately responsible for the financial reporting for three of the UK entities and understanding all processed end-to-end. You will be reporting into the UK Financial Controller and have 1 direct report. You will work closely with your peers within the UK Finance Team, as well as business leads of each revenue stream.

My client is the world's largest independent youth media company. Launched in 1994, they have offices in 35 cities across the globe with a focus on five key businesses: their website, an award-winning international network of digital content; their studios, a feature film and television production studio; their TV channel, an Emmy-winning international television network; a Peabody award-winning NEWS division with the most Emmy-awarded nightly news broadcast; and a global, full-service creative agency with 25 offices around the world.


  • Produce monthly management accounts across 3 entities including cost accruals, accrued/deferred revenue & associated journals at month end
  • Responsible for revenue recognition across all lines of business, including business partnering with stream leads and FP&A
  • Preparation and approval of monthly billing reports
  • Produce and submit monthly and quarterly reporting within deadlines to EMEA Regional teams, including detailed analysis and commentary on variances
  • Responsible for monthly balance sheet reconciliations


  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified
  • Experience working within a media company is a non-negotiable
  • Strong revenue recognition skills from previous roles
  • Business partnering experience
  • Strong Excel and systems skills
