- £40,000 - £45,000 based in South Birmingham
Client Details
Global manufacturing business with property branch seeking Financial Accountant to join their Finance team. This business with a £450 million turnover have a portfolio of over £200 million worth of properties leased out including additional subsidiaries.
Description
- Taking full accountability for the reporting and accuracy of Balance Sheet
- Responsible for producing and circulating the Head Office P&L's
- Provide monthly reporting to Private-Equity owners, and further ad-hoc reporting as required
- Produce monthly Board Reports including commentary on strategic and operational key performance indicators, and variances to comparatives on P&L, Balance Sheet and Cashflow
- Leading the external audit process and producing the Statutory Accounts
- Assisting in dealing effectively with technical accounting issues
- Manage UK and International VAT accounting, reconciliations, and payments
- Ensure expenses and company credit card payments are processed in a timely manner and posted appropriately in the accounts including suitable policies and tax treatment
- Continuous improvement of existing accounting procedures
- Ensure accounting and control processes are fully documented
- Production of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts for Head Office
- Identify opportunities and risks and communicate to senior management
Profile
You will be proactive, intuitive and keen to make a real difference. Working collaboratively with Purchase Ledger and Credit control to produce quality outcomes.
