Job Details

This role will oversee all finance-related activities, and will have direct line management of a small team.

The role will have direct interaction with various departments, multiple areas and senior managers across the business. The Financial Controller will be expected to lead individual assignments as directed by the Finance Director.

Client Details

My client is a growing health-care provider, passionate about making a difference. Located in Waterlooville, the finance team have a new requirement to welcome on board a Financial Controller into their team on a full time, permanent basis.

My client is seeking to recruit a qualified finance professional with experience in a previous financial controls/managerial role, and believes this position will be well suited to an individual who has a passion for process and efficiency improvement, can add value on a day to day basis, and enjoys team management making a positive difference.

Description

· Performing the monthly financial close, preparing, reviewing and publishing consolidated management accounts used for Operations and Board reporting.

· Financial control of the groups statutory structure and ensure all associated returns (VAT and CIS) are submitted on time.

· Streamlining, automating, and improving the accounting system focused on an automated solution for invoice capturing process and a corresponding purchase order process.

· Documenting business processes and accounting policies to establish, maintain and strengthen internal controls.

· Managing all aspects of the accounting operations, including Billing, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets and General Ledger.

· Review and approve payments as well as managing bank access.

· Cash flow management for group with the main focus on maintaining/improving the debtors book.

· Assisting of weekly, monthly, and annual reports for analysing results, identifying trends.

· Preparing weekly KPI report to external shareholders and overseeing daily KPI report for management.

· Assist with the groups debt management process including drawdowns and covenant testing.

· Supervising, training and managing accounts assistants.

· Managing the annual audit and overseeing the preparation of annual tax and other statutory filings including liaising with external accountants, audit personnel and tax professionals, as required.

· Maintain and update the group forecast financial model.

· Assist in integrating all financial aspects of all future acquisitions and adapt processes to align all subsidiaries.

Profile

The successful candidate will ideally be ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified

Have experience of team management

Experience in both aspects of financial accounting (i.e. year end reporting, audits) and management accounts (monthly reports, cash flow, balance sheet reconciliations etc).

Will be available to interview week commencing 4th January 2022
