Description

The key responsibilities for this Senior R&D Tax Manager position at a leading accountancy firm based in Cardiff are:

  • Preparation, review and submission of robust R&D tax credit claims for a wide variety of clients
  • Total management and autonomy of your own client portfolio
  • Management of overall client engagement, communicating with clients and stakeholders throughout the entire claim process
  • Leading client meetings and being responsible for extracting the key information required to prepare the claim
  • Provide technical advice and support to clients, updating them on any legislative changes
  • Management of R&D tax team including mentoring and work delegation
  • Effective planning of work schedule, ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Ensuring the firm's technical and compliance procedures are always adhered to
  • Opportunity to partake in business development activities and contribute to planning and strategy

Profile

In order for candidates to be successful when applying for this Senior R&D Tax Manager role at a leading accountancy firm in Cardiff, you must be:

  • Excellent communicator, with the ability to liaise across all levels of seniority
  • Self-motivated and able to show initiative
  • Accurate and able to work well under pressure
  • Ability to manage and prioritise multiple projects whilst meeting strict deadlines
  • Demonstrates sound technical judgement
  • Ability to establish and maintain strong relationships with new and current clients
  • Capability to manage junior members of the team
  • Driver with a willingness to travel to client meetings if needed in own vehicle (expenses reimbursed)
