Job Purpose

The role of Tax Team Leader is responsible for the overall delivery of tax and statutory reporting services and will serve as a business partner to our clients aiming at maximizing engagement and achieving the qualitative outcomes.    The role also will review and assess your teams’ members responsibilities and adjust the tasks depending on the workload as well as providing feedback, training, and guidance to the coordinated team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing and delivering a full range of tax and statutory reporting services in compliance with laws and regulations within timeframe,
  • Building relationships and interacting with clients through partnering to provide excellent service and subject matter expertise
  • Managing teams with focus on effective operational execution, responsible for the short to midterm operational and tactical team activities
  • Improve processes by developing or implementing best practices
  • Identifying, effectively communicate and provide mitigating solutions to tax risks
  • Ensure adequate working papers are prepared and collected, consolidate insights, and handle complex client information data requests.
  • Establishing, implementing, and monitoring tax and statutory financial statements routines to ensure compliance across the region with focus on workflow management tool for tax compliance status tracking.
  • Developing instructions about the handling of different tax issues during roll-out, sharing them with colleagues in the region, and making them part of the governance processes
  • Leading, ensuring and participating in client tax reviews
  • Supporting the management with risk assessment, resolve problems and difficult issues by implementing new solutions as well as assisting in developing and implementing processes and procedures
  • Engaging with resources in a matrix organization working across multiple delivery teams to successful delivery commitments with customer satisfaction

 

Key Requirements

  • University Degree, or currently studying, administration, accounting, or relevant field. (Desirable)
  • Proven work experience as a tax team leader in international environment and exceptional client service along with the ability to develop excellent client relationships
  • Professional experience in SSC/BPO or Big4 would be an advantage
  • Must have knowledge of tax (direct and indirect tax)
  • Practical knowledge in SAP in Tax Accounting-Compliance area. (Highly desirable)
  • Good user knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel skills (functions, pivot table)
  • Proficient in business English
  • Precision and attention to details, being inquisitive, diligent, and investigative.
  • Analytical (data interpretation and review), proactive, with initiative and persistence for follow-up.
  • Process orientation with very good organization and coordination skills
  • Ability to work in a multicultural environment,
  • Ability to work in team with deadlines and stress situations
