My client, a Top 20 professional services organisation require an experienced Bookkeeper to join their team working in the office in Milton Keynes and on occasion, on client site.
As Bookkeeper, you will undertake bookkeeping duties, preparation of VAT returns and management information for a range of clients ensuring deadlines and proper accounting standards are met. (Management Accounts experience isnt necessary as this is more of a transactional role).
Qualifications and Skills:
2 years or more of Bookkeeping experience in Practice environmentStrong IT skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel, to an intermediate level for the production of letters and spreadsheetsExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenOrganised and methodicalClient focusedCarrying out tasks with a high degree of efficiency and accuracyTime management skillsAbility to operate strict deadlines and handle conflicting prioritiesAbility to work under own initiativeAbility to keep calm under pressureExperience of working within teamsMain Responsibilities
Bookkeeping
To assist clients to process financial informationProvide advice and recommendations to clients in relation to financial reporting mattersComplete each assignment as far as possible before passing to the manager for reviewComplete VAT returns for allocated clientsClient Relations
Develop and maintain good client relationsLiaise with clients directly or through relevant manager to resolve queries or obtain further informationEnsure a high level of service to meet clients expectationsEnsure that all hours worked on assignments are correctly recordedMake timely and relevant recommendations in relation to accounting matters, financial reporting and accounting systems in use (including software)Communications
