My client is looking for an experienced, pro-active, and detail-orientated Payroll professional. In this role the successful applicant will lead thepayroll function day to day and will assist the HR department with additional duties.

What youll be doing:

Taking responsibility for the processing of 3x large monthly payrolls for all employeesMaintaining payroll records ensuring all employee records are up to dateProcessing new starters and final payments for leavers, generating P45sExport causal employee timesheets from thetime and attendance system and import into SageProcessing of all payroll payments including salaries, bonuses, holiday pay, overtime etc. Processing deductions meals, student loans, court orders etcDealing with all statutory calculations including Tax, NI, SSP, SMP, SMP etc.Ensuring all HMRC monthly submissions are sent on time and are accurateProvide the Finance Team with BACS files for employee payments, along with payment requests for statutory and scheme paymentsAssist all employees with any related payroll and pension queriesPerform internal monthly compliance checks, such as NMW checks to ensure compliance in all areasAdminister thepension auto enrolment process. Setting up new joiners, processing leavers and processing the monthly payment file to our providerProvide external bodies like HMRC, DWP and auditors with information as and when requiredComplete payroll year end tasks producing P60s, P11Ds and PSA for review and submissionCompile the gender pay gap reporting data for reviewProcessingexpenses ensuring they are authorised in line with ourpolicy.Assist the Finance Team with posting of payroll journals and reconciling all payroll control accounts on a monthly basis.Producing monthly HR reports such as turnover, absence, holidays and working hoursGeneral HR administrative tasks such as scanning, filing, data entry and other ad-hoc duties.Required Qualifications and Experience:

Previous experience of leading a large payroll 800+ employees from start to finish.Up to date Legislation knowledgeIdeally experience with Sage Payroll and Time Attendance SystemsExceptional attention to detailStrong Excel skillsStrong communication skillsExperienced of working within an SME type of environment.Competitive Rate.
