Job Details
Manage and Optimize the VAT return process and lead and coordinate cross-functional activities and explain the outcome in simple wording to non-finance people.

Description
- Responsible for the timely set-up & filing of VAT & intrastat return
- Coordinate responses to tax audits & lead the data gathering (utilizing the Shared Service Center)
- Along with Tax, manage external VAT service providers, including bringing work in house where possible or looking for lower cost alternatives
- Closely engage with the appropriate tax experts to ensure compliance with Country specific requirements
- Be the liaison between the business and the tax groups for any new business opportunity outside the regular international marine business
- Actively looks for optimized solutions for the VAT returns resulting in benefits for the business
- Manages any new VAT implementation from start to finish
Profile
- Preferred knowledge on Tax and VAT rules
- Ability to communicate finance matters to senior level in the organization
