Job Details

Reporting to the Head of Finance, the PFM will oversee financial management of all production and IP revenue streams and in-house post production facilities.

Description

The Production Finance Manager will have the following duties;

Accounting for Production Revenue

  • Maintain sales log
  • Raising Sales invoices
  • Prepare and maintain recharge schedules
  • Conduct regular reviews of sales log, making sure invoices are paid on time and communicating with outstanding debtors where required

Accounting for Production Costing

  • Review cost monitors and liaise with Production Managers / Production Execs to ensure;
  • Estimates to complete production are itemised accordingly and an accurate reflection of expected costs
  • Under/overspends are fully explained and reported in a timely manner
  • Provide support to Production Managers for completing cost reports
  • Provide training to incoming production staff on IWC's cost monitoring requirements and accounting procedures
  • Set up cost centres for new productions and close cost centres upon completion of production ensuring final costs are reconciled and closing accruals are recorded and maintained
  • Liaise with central AP team, reviewing coding and backup schedules and posting invoices to finance system

IP & Sundry Income

  • Raise sundry sales invoices and distribution sales invoices
  • Post monthly internal facilities journals
  • Liaise with central Royalties function to ensure accuracy of P&L reporting, accrual management and cashflow
  • Liaise with central Rights function to ensure accuracy of sales information and cashflow

Reporting

  • Maintain Production and IP Turnover report
  • Preparation of monthly Production Management Accounts, with accurate recording of WIP, Accruals and Deferred Income
  • Preparation of monthly cashflow by production and IP stream
  • Input of monthly Sch D payroll to external payroll supplier portal
  • Assisting with Quarterly Reforecasting and Annual Budget preparation
  • Assisting with Interim and Year End Audit
  • Other Ad Hoc reporting as required

Profile

The successful Production Finance Manager will likely have the following profile;

  • Qualified Accountant/ QBE considered
  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills
  • Ability to liaise and communicate clearly and effectively with non-finance staff
  • Highly motivated with ability to take ownership of function
  • Knowledge of TV industry advantageous but not essential
  • Production/project accounting advantageous
  • Working knowledge of PMI advantageous but not essential

Job Offer

The Production Finance Manager will be offered a competitive package of £40,000 - £45,000 plus discretionary bonus.
