Adecco is assisting a local client recruiting for a Senior Cost Accountant - Manufacturing experienced- in Chattanooga, TN area. This position is a long-term contract position paying $44.50/hour. Must be local to the Chattanooga area as the position will be a hybrid schedule on-site and remote.

The Senior Cost Accountant will be responsible for monthly close activities, including Cost Accounting topics, Variance Analyses, PPV, Substitution/Yield, Detailed Reports, Budget vs. Actuals, Allocations, Capitalized Variance schedule, Journal Entries, Income Statement Prep, Consolidations loads and tie-out, and PowerPoint deliverables.
The Senior Cost Accountant will
Establish best practices surrounding controls, roles, and responsibilities and process flow. Create and update policies and procedures as required. Work cross-functionally & liaise with GL Accounting, A/P, A/R, Treasury, Supply Chain, Operations, HR, Procurement, Internal Control, & other business partners to tackle complex topics as they relate to financial operations. Project focus: Manage internal controls gap analysis & action plan. Act as a liaison and point of contact for internal & external auditors Experience to possess for consideration to the Senior Cost Accountant :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field of study required. 5+ Years of Manufacturing Cost Accounting experience is required Certifications a plus, but not required Solid experience with standard costing and allocations manufacturing variance, cost accounting background and month end responsibilities and tasks. Must be able to work independent as well as contribute to the accounting/finance team overall function and deadlines Strong experience in multiple software(Excel, Word, Teams) and ERP systems is a must - JD Edwards or SAP Manufacturing experience is a plus.
