Job Details

The Position Mission
This position participates in accounting functions, such as logging payments and maintaining financial records. In addition to maintaining regulations and laws of accounting procedures, the Senior Accountant carries out financial auditing procedures.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Contributes financial information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements
• Provides the accounting department with annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions
• Approves ledger entries by auditing transactions
• Supports the annual audit by providing information and answers to auditors
• Maintains financial security by adhering to internal controls
• Position will be responsible for Retail Accounting processes, primarily creating & maintaining system integrations between ERP and 3rd parties to ensure correct postings and General Ledger reconciliations
• Sales & Use Tax Management including compiling data for loading into tax software, producing returns, reconciling sales data, filing/paying returns
• Lease Reporting - Prepare and submit all necessary reports as obligated by retail leases
• Administer required business registrations

The Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance
• CPA preferred
• Strong expertise with accounting software and Microsoft software including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access
• Knowledge in SAP and EPM/HFM preferred
