Jobot is partnering with a growing Decatur company to fill a position as an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the following:
If you have at least 6+ years of progressive accounting experience (preferably in both public and industry), a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance (additional certification like CPA or CMA is preferred), strong technical skills, working knowledge of GAAP, financial consolidations experience, strong managerial skills, excellent attention to detail and enjoy being on a collaborative team, than this could be an excellent opportunity for you. Job Details
Jobot is partnering with a growing Decatur company to fill a position as an Assistant Controller. The Assistant Controller will be responsible for the following:
- Perform general journal entries
- Reconcile general ledger accounts to subledgers
- Account for fixed assets & depreciation
- Compile annual personal property information
- Account and amortize prepaid assets & calibration gases
- Assist in completing Finance department special initiatives
- Implement and respect internal control procedures
- Prepare audit selections and workpapers for auditor review
- Analyze trends for forecasting and budgeting purposes
- Assist in the creation of presentations and reporting packages for Private Equity owners
- Produce ad hoc reporting as requested
- Consolidate financials for multiple divisions
- Compare divisional income statements and other financial reports
- Manage daily activities of various accounting staff members
- Perform purchase price accounting entries and facilitate opening balance sheet audits
- Calculate corporate overhead allocations to subsidiary entities and account for all intercompany transactions
