This in turn helps us to provide better support to our broad client base.The Role ResponsibilitiesThis role is part of the Strategic Support team within the ICS Operations Department in Group CISO. The primary responsibility of this role will be to support the definition and implementation of the ICS Operations Roadmap as part of delivering the Target Operating Model (TOM) in addition to coordinating and tracking Department wide planning activities. This is achieved through partnership with key stakeholders from across the Function and the Group, Business, Function, and Regional teams.

The role will establish a mature, simple and effective First Line business-as-usual operating model which facilitates standardised ICS risk reporting, treatment planning and follow up remediation planning/tracking for the Heads of ICS. Key outcomes of the ICS Operations Roadmap, which need to be at the core of delivery, include automation, coherent location strategy and unlocking of synergies as part of a wider innovation agenda.

Strategy

  • Work with Risk Platform Product owner and key Technology teams to develop and deliver strategic reporting and analytics critical for performance measurement for ICS performance and risk, includes initiatives that drive standardisation and streamlining across ICS reporting.
  • Identifying core activities and establishing processes which can be performed by the ICS Centre of Excellence (CoE) Shared Service Centre.
Business

  • Partnerships both within and out with the Function. Collaborate and maintain highly effective working relationships across Business units and other stakeholders to strategically connect programs and initiatives that support ICS.
  • Escalate important business developments or issues.
  • Leverage full suite of services across ICS Operations to deliver Business benefits with focus on efficiency, effectiveness and utilising automation.
Processes

  • Actively drive a continuous improvement approach to reporting, processes and systems for high quality outcomes and operational efficiency.
  • Support strategy for ICS Operations Processes and help drive key initiatives.
  • Support evolving operating model to ensure best practices are shared or adopted.
People and Talent

  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Ensure the provision of ongoing training and development of people and ensure that holders of all critical functions are suitably skilled and qualified for their roles ensuring that they have effective supervision in place to mitigate any risks.
  • Employ, engage and retain high quality people, with succession planning for critical roles.
  • Responsibility to review team structure/capacity plans.
  • Set and monitor job descriptions and objectives for direct reports and provide feedback and rewards in line with their performance against those responsibilities and objectives.
Risk Management

  • Streamline processes to ensure effective risk management for Heads of ICS and accelerate risk reduction.
  • Partner with stakeholders to resolve actions required to mitigate ICS risks.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of these processes and controls and ensure timely reporting and remediation.
  • Ensure adequate training & awareness across the impacted stakeholders together with development of supporting material.
Governance

  • Application of best in practice external/industry frameworks.
  • Agile change mindset to enable continuous improvement.
  • Review the development of Second Line Policy/Risk Framework and Methodologies impacting the team.
  • Provide updates to relevant governance forums such as Refinement Forums and NFRCs.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

  • Display exemplary conduct and live by the Group's Values and Code of Conduct.
  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. Our Ideal Candidate
    Strong organisational change and risk experience in the banking environment, with significant experience of Information & Cyber Security management.Experience of developing a strategy and plan then influencing relevant stakeholders and decision makers for successful delivery.Thorough understanding of Technology deployments including strong delivery track record of devising and deploying automated solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness as part of process re-engineering.Cyber security certification (such as CIA, CISA, CISSP, CISM or equivalent) desirable.Strong knowledge of the businesses, markets and operations of Standard Chartered Bank and relevant policies, procedures, and processes.Significant experience of presenting to senior executives, governance committees and regulators.Excellent organisation and leadership skills with ability to manage multiple deadlines and effectively prioritise.Proven ability to deliver complex, global, pan-bank initiatives by driving collaboration and participation by Business, Functions and Regions.Ability to foster positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders at appropriate level ensuring open cooperative environment.
