What you'll do

As an Audit Manager, you'll be responsible for leading audit engagements specific to credit risk and influencing managers across the bank to help improve the control environment. You'll also be responsible for supervising and coaching team members, supporting them to realise their potential.

You'll be responsible for engagement planning, ensuring coverage of all key risks, complying with internal methodology for Internal Audit, and deploying resources to best use.

You'll also:

  • Use a commercial mind-set, and make sure that the engagement team works efficiently Leverage Internal Audit's industry leading audit methodology and tools
  • Ensure compliance with global methodology within engagements and accurately keeping the audit management tool up to date
  • Manage key stakeholders throughout audit engagements, ensuring a good understanding of business risks and an open and effective discussion on key risks
  • Produce effective engagement reports which articulate risks and issues clearly

The skills you'll need

We'll look to you to bring expertise in audit with a proven ability to deliver high quality audits on time and to budget. You'll also have a strong understanding of banking and credit risk management, ideally in a wholesale banking environment

You'll also need to have:

  • A keen eye for detail with strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • An awareness and understanding of data analytics, with the ability to assess and prioritise data effectively
  • The ability to support and supervise your team through coaching, feedback and development
  • Proven stakeholder management skills
