- Knowledge of Tax legislation (Direct and Indirect)
- Understanding of Tax legislation (ETI)
- Understanding Tax year process - EMP501
Computer and Software Skills:
- Hands-on experience with accounting software packages - Accpac
- Advanced MS Excel skills including V-lookups and pivot tables
- Ability to manipulate large amounts of data and to compile detailed reports
- Planning and organizing
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Aptitude for numbers and quantitative skills
- Confidentiality
- Strong Integrity & Ethics
Job Functions:
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results
- Support month-end and year-end close process
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
- Liaise with our Financial Manager to improve financial procedures
- Reconcile and balance all accounts - Monthly
- Assist with tax audits, tax returns and employee tax reconciliation (EMP501)
- Direct external audits to ensure compliance
- Preparation of Monthly VAT reconciliation
- Strong understanding of the payroll cycle
