Your new company:

Reed are currently representing a client who is an established company since 2012 and are based in Basildon and Purfleet. They are an accredited garage who provide mechanical repair and servicing for cars, vans and light commercial vehicles, including hybrid and electrical. They are looking for an Experienced Bookkeeper to join their team on a full-time basis.

The successful individual will be handling the Bookkeeping across 2 businesses and will be required to work out of both the Basildon office and Purfleet office, split across the working week.

Your new duties:

• Full responsibility for maintaining 2 companies accounting records on Sage.


• Reconciling company bank accounts.


• Processing and paying purchase and sales invoices, recording receipts and payments.


• Reconciling sales and purchase accounts.


• Completing and submitting VAT Returns and CIS returns.

What you will need to succeed:

• Must have good previous bookkeeping experience


• Have previous experience working with Sage software


• Be technical minded


• Be able to compile accounts to trial balance stage for the accountants.


• Be happy to work within a team who are family orientated
