I am currently seeking a Payroll Manager for a multi award winning company. This role is Monday to Friday office based in Spalding.

An exciting opportunity for an experienced Payroll & HR Administration Manager to join a thriving business and play a key part in the growth and success of the organisation. You will be responsible for the delivery of a cost effective and efficient service, ensuring that all statutory and internal compliance obligations are met within the required timescales.

Key Duties

  • Passionate about delivering a first class payroll for the business and 1,200 colleagues,
  • Key responsibilities will include; Managing through the Payroll & HR Administration team,
  • the timely processing of all weekly and monthly payrolls with maximum accuracy
  • Planning resources to ensure the efficient processing of all administration tasks relating to the employee lifecycle within agreed and / or appropriate timescales
  • Ensuring compliance with key processes by overseeing internal controls and procedures, including the processing of starters, leavers, SSP, SMP, pension contributions, electronic payslips and maintenance of accurate employee, payroll and pension records.
  • Ensuring that monthly and weekly audits of all payrolls are carried out in accordance with agreed Company procedures to ensure all internal compliance and statutory obligations are met.
  • Providing guidance and support to the Payroll & HR Administration team on more complex payroll and pension issues and contribute specialist advice and expertise.
  • Monitoring and interpreting developments in statutory and external payment obligations eg: Tax, National Insurance, etc delivering advice and solutions relating to payroll legislative changes in a timely manner.
  • Liaising with Tax Team on information affecting Payroll activities and ensure the effective communication of legislative changes to all HR & Payroll team members.
  • Developing and recommending payroll quality assurance systems / processes to ensure internal and external audit requirements are met and delivered within required timeframes.
  • Motivating, developing and maintaining high morale and engagement of the Payroll & HR Administration team members.
  • Ensure tailored Performance and Development Plans are in place to support individual team members training, development and coaching.
