Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the availability, confidentiality and distribution of company hardware assets.
• Design and implement processes and procedures for tracking company hardware distribution.
• Implement asset management policies and processes that maintain asset data accuracy.
• Enter asset data such as hardware serial numbers or identification tags into configuration management database and ensure information is up-to-date, accurate, and auditable. Ensure the asset management ledger is up to date.
• Explore opportunities for improving the utility of unused or partially used technology assets to achieve full efficiency and Return On Investment from assets
• Perform inventories and usage monitoring of all IT assets and record all findings, changes, physical location, and incidences of misuse
• Efficiently communicate asset management strategies to team members in a timely and clear fashion
• Generate and distribute relevant management reports
• Discuss with procurement teams and other relevant parties for acquiring reliable and safe assets from economical sources.
• Coordinate with customs and all statutory teams for procurement of assets and their safe distribution at the same time conforming to all the applicable laws of the state.
• Forecasts assets shortage and request for additional hardware from customer
• Plan disposal or transfer of asset to the customer when it's usage is over.
• Support in WFH and WFO distribution of the assets, with proper gatepass, based on the requirements of the project.
• Discuss with relevant stake holders and arrange distribution of desktops, laptops, monitors, other various computer parts including UPS, keyboards, mouse, cables, Wifi dongles etc. with the help of company admin team, to the users of the project and replace them if necessary
• Discuss with local vendors around Trivandrum to procure hardware peripherals, power supplies, usb's, mini speakers, test phones etc.

Required Skills (Technical Competency):

• Solid understanding of current IT technologies
• Proficient using Excel to compare and combine data from various sources
• General knowledge of purchase and logistics
• General knowledge of electronic components and computer parts
• General knowledge of electrical parts, their power, voltage and current requirements
• Strong written, oral, and communication skills
• Proven attention to detail
• Experience at working both independently and in a collaborative environment is important
• Persuasive, encouraging, respectful, and able to elicit collaboration from a wide variety of sources
• Able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies
• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast paced environment
• Ability to develop, comprehend, interpret, and align with company policies and procedures

Desired Skills:

• Effective use of tools like Multimeters, Spectroscopes, and Oscilloscopes
• Soldering
• Good experience in maintaining labs and their proper work environments
