Payroll Manager at Wispeco Aluminium
Reports to: ER Manager
Available positions:1
Preferred Qualifications:
Relevant Degree/Diploma in Payroll or Finance
Qualification in TAX will be advantageous (but knowledge of tax is compulsory)
Advanced Excel
SAGE 300 People Experience (at least 2-3 years' experience on working on this system)
Strong financial acumen
Preferred Experience:
At least 7-8 years' experience of which at least 3 years has been in a management function. Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks. Deadline driven. Strong organisational and coordination skills. Experience with large payroll (Managing at least 500 people on a payroll and time and attendance systems.) Current knowledge of payroll procedures and related laws in essential.
Main purpose of the job:
Manage the full payroll process for the salaries, PTW (Casuals) and wages payroll.
Primary Duties:
* Develop systems to process payroll account transactions. (e.g. salaries, wages, leave, benefits, garnishments, deductions, taxes, third party payments, etc.)
* Coordinate timekeeping and payroll systems
* Oversee processing of payroll adjustments, changes and system upgrades
* Ensure compliance with relevant laws and internal policies
* Manage and coach Payroll team
* Liaise with auditors and manage payroll tax audits
* Collaborate and liaise with business on all payroll related inputs and queries
* Maintain accurate records and controls within the payroll, compensation and benefits environment
* Resolve issues and answer payroll-related queries
* Prepare relevant reports as required by ER department and business at large
* Perform and manage salary benchmarking
* Assist with long term Compensation and Benefits (including Payroll) Strategic plans
* Establish Job Evaluation Committee (including Remuneration Policy)
* Reconciliation of General Ledger with regards to payroll and HR payments
* Assist the ER Manager with the development of all remuneration related policies
* Carry all other duties that you may be instructed to do from time to time by your line manager.
