Kforce's client is hiring an Audit Contractor for temporary employment in Miramar, Florida (FL). Responsibilities:
- Audit Contractor will have an understanding of COSO, SOX, and SOC 2 Internal Auditing Standards and risk assessment practices
- Understanding of internal control concepts and experience in applying them to perform, manage and report on the evaluation of the business processes/areas/functions
- Identify and evaluate business and technology risks, internal controls and processes which mitigate risks, and related opportunities, for internal control improvement and implementation
- Assist in the documentation of internal control processes
- Work with process owners to drive the design and implementation of efficient and effective processes and controls across the department or organization
- As an Audit Contractor, you implement documentation including policies, communications, process flowcharts/narratives, risk and controls matrix and identification of entity level, key, and standard controls
- Approach process and controls work in a way that sets the foundation for SOX readiness
- Conducting periodic meetings with policy and process owners to ensure processes and controls are effective and achieving defined business outcomes
- Assist in the remediation of deficiencies in internal controls (specifically with respect to the control environment)
Job Requirements:
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree required in Accounting/Finance; CPA or CIA a plus
- 5+ years of current experience in audit of private industry experience with knowledge of accounting, finance, and internal control areas
- Experience working with policies procedures
- Thorough knowledge of Accounting, Visio, and Microsoft Office software
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish a must
- Ability to work independently, with limited required direction and guidance
- Ability to analyze, and interpret general business operational reports, forms, accounting transactions, technical procedures
- Prior industry experience is a plus
