Job Details

Key Responsibilities:
  • Extensive financial modeling experience (Building financial models from scratch)
  • Provide data analysis to support investment decisions around transactions, partnerships, and strategic growth initiatives
  • High proficiency in financial modeling and working in large data sets in Excel
  • Clearly communicate investment analysis/findings to leadership team and provide meaningful recommendations/solutions
  • Provide transaction and due diligence support, including participating in & coordinating meetings with target company management team and external financial advisors
  • Work closely with regional operations team to understand/assess new investment opportunities in their respective geographic areas
  • Provide input and recommendations for streamlining processes and making process improvements throughout various stages of the deal process from planning to execution & integration
  • Create/refine standardized process for analyzing/ranking potential deals and present findings to the executive management team to determine whether or not to pursue opportunities
  • Conduct analysis of financial risks and benefits on business initiatives
  • Closely analyze and monitor investment performance by comparing actual results to the financial model forecast and identify opportunities for improvement on future deals
  • Prepare various internal/external reporting decks (PowerPoint) summarizing investment opportunities, deal performance, and due diligence findings

Education & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree minimum in Finance or similar
  • 4+ years' experience in an analytics and data mining/analysis role
  • 1-2+ years' M&A experience (e.g., transaction advisory services, investment banking, private equity)
  • Healthcare finance and/or accounting experience
  • Experience in financial modeling
  • Advanced Excel skills necessary

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Strong understanding of business combinations and the overall M&A process
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong Excel skills with ability to digest, manipulate, and understand large amounts of data
  • Strong interpersonal skills for interacting with sellers, partners, advisors, and upper management
  • Strong personal computer and business solutions software skills
  • General understanding of accounting & financial statements
  • Good communication skills for communicating with employees, management, and third parties
  • Good planning and organizational skills to balance and prioritize work
