Finance Assistant - Hook - £25-30k - Hybrid working!
Your new company
A fast paced company that will value your skills and hard work. They are continuing to grow and develop onto new locations and are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their team on a permanent basis.
Your new role
- Ensure monthly accounting areas of responsibility are completed to enable timely and accurate reporting to Group, highlighting areas of concern for the business. Provide management reporting commentary as and when required.
- Ownership of transactional activities, which may include intercompany.
- Challenge variances against budget, forecast and prior periods to ensure clear understanding of the results.
- Work with Accounts Payable to ensure timely and accurate processing of Group Services related invoices / credit notes
- Identifying areas for potential improvements and working with the Finance Manager to ensure 'best in class' financial processes are achieved.
- Prepare regular financial forecasts
- Provide support in annual budget submission process.
- Own contracts database
- Ad Hoc analysis and support as required.
- Support the year end audit as required.
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience of working in a management or financial accounting position, preferably within an IT environment.
- Part Qualified
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
