Our client, a Los Angeles-based e-commerce company with over 300 employees is looking for a motivated Staff Accountant to join their team. This role reports directly to the Accounting Manager and will perform daily accounting operations. This position is currently fully remote and will be in until 2022.

What you'll do

• Collaborate with licensing team and calculate royalties
• Maintain royalty and other financial schedules to ensure accurate record-keeping and strong audit documentation
• Reconcile merchant processor activity and related bank
• Support the finance team with sales reporting and other related reporting projects
• Record manual journal entries as part of the month-end
• Participate in the design & implementation of new accounting procedures as we continue to roll out new systems, offer new products and expand to new markets
• Perform accounting research & analysis to support with the financial reporting process
• Assist team with potential ad-hoc projects and

What you'll bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or equivalent
• Proficient understanding of accounting theory (e.g. GAAP) especially in regards to accrual accounting
• 2+ years of relevant experience - Public accounting and/or CPA candidates a plus
• Proficient with Microsoft Excel
• Experience with Netsuite preferred but not required
