*This role can be fully remote or sit out of their White Plains, NY office*

Responsibilities:
  • Shared responsibility in the preparation and processing of bi-weekly multi-state payroll
  • Answering questions and resolving issues regarding payroll
  • Collecting and verifying employee and timekeeping data
  • Process Commuter, FSA & HSA uploads to vendor site
  • Import 401K changes to HRIS system
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant government regulations
  • Recording and maintaining payroll transaction records
  • Perform ad hoc assignments
  • Address correspondence and third-party inquiries in a timely manner

Requirements
  • Possesses a basic understanding of payroll and related laws and procedures. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of related laws and ensures to demonstrate a commitment to compliant practices
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems and database software
  • Clear and friendly style of communication
  • Is attentive and shows interest in the subject; Expresses ideas clearly and accurately
  • Knows what is considered confidential and what is not confidential and confirms with appropriate person if it's not clear. Understands the importance of confidential information that they are entrusted with and ensure that confidentiality is kept
  • Organizational, multi-tasking and prioritizing skills
