ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

Our busy fast-paced 501c3 public charity operates over 125 charitable initiatives around the world is seeking a rising star to join this tight-knit, "on it" team to help people do good. The Edward Charles Foundation offers business management for charities. This hands-on role will perform general administrative duties with some "light" accounting-related responsibilities.

Upon demonstration of success in the role, you will have the opportunity to grow with the company through enhanced responsibility. This is a great entry into the philanthropic world for those who are looking to transition into the charity and foundation industry. You will be learning from a best-in-class team about how charities operate. This is a fast-paced, fun environment for someone who really wants to engage all the while helping people do good.

Job Requirements:

What's Needed to Win:

• Bachelor's Degree

• 3+ years of accounting experience, especially reconciling bank accounts

• Experience in a small, entrepreneurial environment

• Proficiency with excel and other computer office programs

• Hands-on, roll up your sleeves, positive attitude

• Excellent oral and written communication, and interpersonal skills

• Highly detail-oriented and organized in work

What You'll Tackle:

• Perform day-to-day administrative tasks assisting the team as well as clients in a gambit of tasks to assist in the smooth functioning of the business.

• Assisting in onboarding clients, being on team calls, being on calls with clients, coordinating schedules, maintaining the calendar.

• Coordinating with outside contractors website development to social media team, etc.

• Facilitating responding to clients and providing real-time documents, etc as needed

• Preparing donation letters and other "light" accounting or legal documents.

• Maintaining the google file and folder hierarchy and ensuring it is clean and being operated in harmony with company policy.

• Scanning/ saving documents

• Helping facilitate new platforms which our company may utilize for fundraising and other business of our charity clients

• Help accounting team organize and perform its tasks

• Data entry & assist team in maintaining spreadsheets with current information regarding clients or related accounting data.

• Assisting CEO with all business-related matters, taking notes, following up on items, coordinating, scheduling calls.
