Beacon Hill Financial is working with a national nonprofit here in Washinton, DC! This position is 100% remote, looking for an accountant to work alongside the controller. Job Description:

• Oversee the preparation and timely submission of grant reporting, grant applications, application amendments, budget transfers, and indirect cost rate agreements
• Ensure compliance with the rules and regulations administered by the grantor and/or the federal government; oversee special audits conducted by grantor
• Serve as an institutional resource on grant compliance, participate in the review of new funding opportunities, and provide critical feedback on institutional eligibility and risk
• Oversee grant monitoring meetings with program staff

• Calculating, posting, and verifying financial data for use in maintaining accounting records
• Coordinate with the Senior Administrator of Finance and Accounting to meet the organization's goals
• Prepare ad hoc reports for and respond to requests from Administrator of Finance and Accounting
• Assist with cash and revenue controls at conferences
• Other functions as directed by management
• Some travel is required

Qualifications:

• Abila MIP system experience
• Grant management experience
• Nonprofit accounting experience
