Job Description
The Role:

Essential function:
  • This role is responsible for developing and leading a Shared Services team overseeing several Finance activities, including GL Processing, FAR, Working Capital, Tranactions, Bank Cash, Transactional Tax and Recharges and Intercompany Trade. The role also involves process creation and improvement to processes.
  • Create a strong Balance Sheet culture of monthly reconciliation and validation processe
  • Responsible for leading effective and accurate processes, recording and accounting for all financial transactions
  • Leading month end duties including reports and internal/external audit processes at the level expected of a JSE listed entity.
  • Developing and embedding well-controlled end to end processes with defined process ownership
  • Leading on delivery of strategic change, implementing standardised governance, controls and processes and continuously embracing technology (including automation) as a means to execute faster and better
  • Ensuring compliance across all accounting, tax, legislative and regulatory standards
  • Influencing and managing key stakeholders expectations - maintaining relationships
Skills and Experience:
Essential Qualification:
  • Qualified accountant with Shared Services experience, extensive experience in financial operation controls, process improvement and delivery of strategic change
  • CA Qualification or equivalent

Experience required:
  • Proven leadership skills and experience in managing and leading teams in multi-workstream and change management projects
Key Accountabilities:

  • A relevant degree / masters and have extensive experience (10 years plus) of defining and leading the transition of activities to as shared service environment, (either captive shared service centre or to an outsourcing partner)
  • Have a track record of delivering strategic-level changes. Able to generate commitment to change across broad group of stakeholders and deliver against multi-year plan
  • Have strong influencing skills and build rapport easily, able to influence a range of internal and external, technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Have the ability to operate both at the strategic and, where required, detailed level
  • A self-starter and has an affinity for technology??s ability to drive efficiencies and enhance service delivery
  • Have a strong level of general business acumen, and thinks conceptually and identifies and addresses future challenges and opportunities, often in an ambiguous environment
  • Have proven leadership skills in building and managing global teams and experience of leading multi-workstream and change management projects
