Are you experienced in purchase ledger? Our client based in Nottingham are looking for an individual that is immediately available to join their growing business. You will be ensuring the smooth running of the purchase ledger and providing reliable and accurate management information. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch!

To be considered for the role, you'll require the following essentials:


  • Current or recent experience within a purchase ledger role
  • Strong IT Skills, especially MS Excel and knowledge of Pivots & Lookups
  • Qualified at GCSE level
  • Excellent word processing skills
  • Excellent communication skills

The ideal candidate will have proven purchase ledger experience as well as proven experience of using MS Excel Pivots & Lookups. Having the ability to deal with high volumes of invoices is a must for this role. You will also be an excellent communicator and a great team player.

Within this position, you'll also be:


  • Monitoring & processing incoming purchase invoices
  • Ensuring invoices are processed accurately and ina timely manner
  • Printing off invoices received electronically
  • Ensuring that all queries are dealt with promptly
  • Maintaining the invoice query log to a high standard & issuing weekly to other departments as required
  • Working & liaising with other departments to minimise supplier problems
  • Paying suppliers within agreed credit terms
  • Producing BACS & currency wire transfers
  • Allocating of manual payments to the ledger
  • Maintaining of the cash book
  • Creating new supplier accounts
  • Reconciling supplier statements
  • Processing employee expenses
  • Providing cash forecasts
  • Assisting with month end tasks
  • Providing cover for credit control and/or sales ledger
  • Raising manual invoices. Credit notes & processing RMAs
  • Carrying out other ad hoc duties as required

Salary & Working Hours

Salary is up to £21,000 - £25,000 per annum, dependant on experience

Working hours are Monday - Thursday 8-4.30 (flex)
