Market Job Description
Audit conducts audits and reports the results of our work to the Audit & Examinations Committee of the Board of Directors. We provide independent, objective assurance and consulting services delivered through a highly competent and diverse team. As a business partner, Audit helps the Company accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Audit has a full time opening for a Senior Audit Manager (SAM) on the Enterprise Functions (EF) Audit Team. The Enterprise Functions audit team is responsible for coverage of most Corporate Staff Support functions, including Enterprise Finance, Human Resources, Public Affairs, and Legal functions.
The Enterprise Functions (EF) Audit team is seeking a Senior Audit Manager (SAM) who will provide leadership and oversight for Finance portfolio across locations outside of the United States, predominantly the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. This include oversight of Controllers, Treasury, Corporate Finance and Business Finance. This Senior Audit Manager will be responsible for developing an audit plan and approach, perform oversight of an audit team (7+ professional auditors) in audit work execution and ensure audit engagements are completed with high standards of quality. In addition to a portfolio of his/her own coverage areas, the person we seek will work with Senior Level Audit leaders to ensure high quality coverage.
The Senior Audit Manager will be responsible for building strong working relationships with key internal stakeholders including Senior Leadership within the CFO Group. Additionally, this person will interact with Banking Regulators to describe audit coverage and results. The person we seek will have outstanding communication skills, strong Executive presence, and the proven ability to build and maintain strong relationships with key Business Partners and Regulators.

Specific Duties:
The Senior Audit Manager supervises integrated audit projects and provides guidance and oversight for the teams and engagements and may act as a subject matter expert in a consulting capacity. Senior Audit Managers demonstrate depth and breadth of knowledge that includes technology, operational, financial, and regulatory understanding across multiple businesses and may develop knowledge in a critical subject matter area.

Responsibilities include:

• Manages a team responsible for a defined segment of the Audit Plan.

• Accountable for assessing associated risks and controls and completing engagements within their segment of the audit plan.

• Responsible for resources management and assisting broader team in overall audit plan completion.

• Provides timely feedback, coaching and monitoring of development plans.

• Builds and maintains a proficient team of auditors.

• Develops and maintains strong business relationships with leadership across WF and other stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies.

• Plans and organizes work in an annual cycle, not just project cycle.

• Ensures audit engagements are risk-based, and executed according to Audit policies and guidance.
Market Skills and Certifications
Desired Qualifications:

• Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm.

• A BS/BA degree or higher.

• Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools.

• Certification in one or more of the following: CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation.

• Leadership experience for professional auditors, risk management, or project leadership professionals

• Strong understanding of financial regulatory environment

• Solid understanding of Institution of Internal Audit (IIA) standards, regulatory requirements, and industry guidelines

• Strong knowledge of audit methodology, including risk identification and control assessment

• Issue validation and remediation experience

• Ability to coordinate/collaborate and build effective partnerships across Internal Audit and with lines of businesses

• Demonstrated ability to take initiative, drive innovation, credibly challenge and proactively influence risk and control environments

• Ability to quickly evaluate emerging risks, understand impacts to the audit plan and implement appropriate adjustments to the audit plan
