Macildowie are actively seeking a Finance Assistant for an established business based in Nottingham, NG8.

This is a full time position working 37.5 hours a week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid role - 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.

This is a temporary role for the next 6 months,

Pay rate will be between £11 - £12 an hour.

The ideal candidate will ideally be studying AAT and have experience in reporting / sales ledger and able to work as part of a team. Looking for someone to start as soon as possible, so if you are immediately available this will be a bonus. If you have knowledge of using Microsoft Navision this is beneficial but not essential.

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Raising sales invoices from sales orders and other information
• Overseeing the sales ledger process, from sales orders through to invoices and cash collection
• Resolving issues preventing accurate sales invoices being sent to customers
• Matching, cash receipts to sales invoices
• Reporting and analysis
• Interfacing with customer accounts payable contacts to gain commitments to pay
• Setting up of new customer accounts and maintaining existing account details
• Reviewing sales ledgers
• Reconciliation of customer statements, sending our statements to customers
• Maintaining accounting records
• Being the first point of contact for all sales ledger enquiries
• Maintaining strong relationships with external customers and the internal sales teams
• Reviewing systems and processes and making improvements where necessary
• Other activities that their line manager requests as required
