Position Description:
This position will be part of Danaher Corporate Finance and will be responsible for T&E processing for Danaher IDC, DHR entity and any other operating companies as maybe needed.
Key deliverables:

Selected candidate will be responsible for all the activities related to travel & expense claims processing which include but limited to:
  • Review expense reports submitted by employees for overall reasonableness.
  • Ensure that users are not in violation of Corporate Travel Policy and Government regulations.
  • Verify, validate and reconcile all expense claims to ensure policy adherence.
  • Efficiently address inquiries from employees regarding policies, processes, and systems.
  • Provide support in implementation and change management of ERP as well as T&E related tools such as Expenzing, Concur etc.
  • Ensure all processes are performed as per the agreed timelines & accurate deliverable structure & drive compliance on various policies that strengthen the business.
  • Educate and train travelers on the proper procedures for expense reporting and reimbursement and the past due guidelines.
  • Act as the system administrator for credit card issuances and assign card limits to associates based on travel needs.
  • Reconcile, research and support credit card accounts in a timely manner. Ensure no overdue outstanding on credit cards and no outstanding settlement from associates on the credit card for more than 2 months.
  • Address queries relating to T&E raised by personnel.
  • Interact with peers and various management levels to address any expense inquiries.
  • Develop and sustain effective business relationships with employees in order to build a strong sense of confidence in employees.
  • Assist in Audit for review of specific claims.
  • Educate employees and travelers on best practices of expense reporting, past due accounts and traveler terminations.
  • Encourage best practice sharing among employees, other teams and promote standardization.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues regarding batches or payment failures
  • Improvise process by adding new activities or by eliminating non-value steps
  • Provide/generate TE reports/dash boards which will depict TE spend.
  • Review outstanding charges and communicate outstanding charges to employee and Financial Leads.
  • Able to interact with auditors and resolve all T&E related queries.
  • Review employee advances, Imprest and outstanding claims on a monthly basis and ensure no overdue 2 months.
  • Ensure appropriate T&E accruals are shared with the GL team for month close and accounting.

Qualifications and Experience:
Education and Experience:
  • B.Com or M.Com. MBA preferred but not mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience in Accounts Payable process of which atleast 2-3 years' experience in T&E processing.
  • Experience of working in MNC environment preferred.
  • Knowledge of T&E policies and it's interpretation, T&E accounting.
  • Good command over document data management, storage, and retrieval.
  • Good command on ERP systems for T&E processing. Multiple ERP environment, especially Oracle and Navision preferred.
  • Good Excel skills to prepare T&E dashboards and MS-Word skills for creation of SOP's.
  • Good communication skills both verbal and written.

  • Willingness to improve and automate existing process and drive productivity improvements
  • Maintain high standards of compliance and willing to stand-up for what is right.

Knowledge and skills:
  • Should be good with accounting fundamentals and able to understand the impact on the BS and P&L for the accounting transactions.
  • Is able to recommend solutions to resolve accounting situations, vendor resolve vendor/stakeholder issues on Record to Report independently.
  • Strong excel and ERP (Navision) accounting knowledge.
  • Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple projects and adhere to deadlines with a strong sense of ownership.
