Primary

Responsibilities:

• Close of monthly Finance books which include accrual preparation, prepaid amortization & comprehensive Profit and Loss analysis
• Prepare journal entries and reviews accounting classifications in accordance with generally-accepted accounting principles
• Cost optimization and Management of India costs.
• Improve the accuracy of close estimates throughout the close
• Driving standardization of financial report deliveries across all locations and working on opportunities for process improvement
• Perform detailed review, analysis, and reconciliation of general ledger accounts
• Handling of payroll accounting of OGA and opportunity of process improvement
• Support and Collaboration with GEO Business Partners, Audit, LOB, FP&A and Consolidation & Systems
• Support and collaborate with functions to increase adoption of "real time" forecasting
• Assist with implementing and maintain internal controls and procedure
• Prepare documentation to support external and internal audits
• Ensure compliance with applicable policies, contracts and regulations (including country specific)
• Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). Required Qualifications:

• Commerce graduate/ MBA/ CA or CA-inter
• 3 - 5 year of accounting experience, preferable in controllership role
• Experience working with strict deadlines (i.e. month-end close process) and proven ability to be successful in a fast paced environment
• Sound understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
• Working knowledge of ERP ( Ex: PeopleSoft, Essbase, Excel, etc)
• Analytical skills & an inquisitive mind, strong communication skills and documentation ability, detail oriented, self-motivated and ability to proactively work toward a goal without significant structure or rules
