On behalf of our client, we are seeking to recruit a Payroll Specialist on a 12-month basis. As the Payroll Specialist you will work as part of the Shared Service team focused on running end to end payroll processes for a variety of clients across the Uk, as well as providing specific services in relation to both the Executive population and Share administration.



Role: Payroll Specialist



Pay: £21.47 Per hour via Umbrella rate



Contract: Monday to Friday, 35 Hours a week, 12-month contract

Responsibilities

  • To provide expert remuneration advice for the Executive population across the company
  • To be the focal point for managing and delivering the Share administration for all clients.
  • Run all client payrolls' from start to finish independently.
  • Be the focal point for the HR and Payroll processing teams when assistance is required on complex queries or input.
  • Have a full understanding of the impact of Maternity/Paternity/Sick pay on each different payroll to ensure compliance with statutory regulations.
  • Have a full understanding of the P11D & P60 processes for all clients to ensure that you can be both accountable for these key annual deliverables and deal with client and external body queries.
  • Deal with HMRC in relation to Tax and National Insurance queries, this will include building a relationship with the relevant CRM.
  • Be a lead RO representative during both internal and external audits, which will include documentation and process preparation.
  • Proactively identify process improvements, engage with the relevant key stakeholders and own the full end to end process to ensure implementation.
  • Stay up to date on relevant legislation and ensure that any forthcoming changes and potential impacts are highlighted to the leadership team.
  • Play a key and active part in the full change request process by demonstrating:
  • An understanding of our payroll systems to enable you to support clients with required change request submissions.
  • Become fully involved in the testing as required.
  • Ensure that all required elements are fully tested.


Experience

  • Experience within a payroll/HR environment (Advantageous)
  • Experience of a computerised payroll system (SAP would be desirable).
  • Knowledge of PAYE, SMP, SPP, SSP, Student Loans, Pensions and other deductions.
  • Proven customer service experience both verbal and written.
  • Use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
  • Experience of computerised payroll system (Knowledge of SAP would be desirable).



Qualifications

  • A Levels or higher qualification would be advantageous
