job summary:
We are seeking Financial Analysts in the Washington, DC/Northern Virginia area to join our team.
Working under close supervision, the Financial Analyst conducts and documents simple to moderate standard financial analysis and ad hoc finance projects. The Financial Analyst also aids the organization with financial functions, such as assessing, auditing, planning, budgeting, taxes, consolidation, cost control, and project control.
Position Responsibilities :
Create and own detailed and flexible financial models to facilitate decisions at all levels.Develop and implement reporting and analytics capabilities for the businessConduct ad-hoc analyses and financial modeling to drive decision-makingManage and track financial performance against plan and dive into variancesIdentify and quantify risk or upside and provide solutions on financial performance projections using financial and business knowledge and experience.Develops, reviews, analyzes and maintains cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value, and variance analyses and communicates cost and/or schedule trends.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :
Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university. Preferably in business administration, economics, finance, or accounting.2 years of experience in a finance related positionAnalytical mindset with the curiosity to drill down to the detailsAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with others.Results-oriented mentality, highly energetic, dynamic individual with a drive to deliver on timeExperience with Microsoft Excel
