Job Purpose:
Reporting to the Head of Commercial Finance, you will be responsible for providing key financial information, which will aid the business in tracking progress against margin expectations and enabling better-informed decisions by the Board and the Senior Leadership team.

Key Tasks and Accountabilities:
- Supporting the Head of Commercial Finance in delivering insight into all drivers behind the gross margin at both customer, product and geographical level
- Reporting and forecasting distribution expenditure
- Responsibility for the preparation of group commissions and rebates
- Responsible for the accounts and reporting for several manufacturing business units
- Act as the key contact/support for managers by providing accurate, timely, user-friendly reporting and ad-hoc analysis for the manufacturing cost centres
- Review, analyse and issue weekly flash reports for labour and material usage for the business
- Prepare operational budgets & forecasts for the manufacturing cost centres, detailing key drivers against prior year/version for review
- Product costing, specifically responsible for the costing of all new products and existing products; this includes the preparation of cost estimates, as well as maintaining the standard product costs
- Business partnering with the supply chain to calculate forecast variances, as well as reporting actual performance to date
- Assisting the wider business on large projects with financial analysis and insight
- Reviewing the system controls within the Finance software
- Development of the Finance Reporting software and implementing it across the wider business
- Ownership of the Fixed Asset Register and CAPEX appraisals
- Assisting in the annual audit process, providing information to the Company's auditors
- Work with the Finance team to streamline internal reporting processes
- Coaching and developing the junior management accountant roles
- Ad Hoc duties to support the Head of Commercial Finance

Education / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
- Professional Finance qualification such as CIMA, ACCA or ACA
- Post qualified experience in preparing management accounts and business partnering
- Manufacturing and standard costing experience essential
- Experience in supporting the development of junior accountants (desired)
- New finance system implementation (desired)
- Experience of Hive Ups (desired)
- Extensive data analysis experience and understanding of financials
- Strong excel and systems skills
- Experienced in VBA and SQL
- AS400 and Sage X3
- Experienced in VBA and SQL (desired)
- AS400 and Sage X3 (desired)
