Recruiting for a Senior Finance Rents Officer to join our Head Office in Westminster!
GBP 33,000 per annum, working 35 hours per week, plus 25 days Annual Leave, Pension schemes, Staff discounts, healthcare and more.
Job Overview:
The Senior Finance Officer (Rents) will play a key part in the delivery of an efficient and effective Rents finance service to the business and it's customers by undertaking analysis, accounting, and reconciliation activities that ensure the completeness and accuracy of our customers' rent accounts. As well as ensuring efficient and accurate transaction processing, the successful candidate will assist in the preparation of the monthly management accounts and supporting information.

Responsibilities:

This is not an exhaustive list of all the duties and responsibilities that may be required from time to time and is subject to change in accordance with the needs of Look Ahead.
The post-holder will be required to:
- Ensure the timely and accurate processing of the rent debit, rent receipts and other rent and service charge adjustments
- Ensure month end reports completion as well as detailed analysis in order to recognise any errors and action accordiingly
- Held responsibility for the reconciliations of service charge control accounts
- Ensure customer payment files including Standing orders, Housing Benefit and Allpay are posted to customer accounts within one working day of the cash being received in the bank account
- Ensure the weekly posting of Housing Management system interface files
- Perform weekly reconciliation of the Rent Ledger and Rents bank account
- Undertook monthly reconciliation of rent and bank statements

Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
Essential:
- Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage their own workload
- At least two years experience in a rent accounting or relevant -role
- Experience of balance sheet reconciliations
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to cope under pressure
- Excellent IT & communication skills

Desirable:

- Experience of working in a social Housing organisation
- Experience of working with Civica Cx
- Experience of working with SUN accounts
- Graduate or AAT qualified
