CMA Recruitment Group are proud to be assisting a very successful and growing SME in the Winchester area with their search for a Finance Manager, for a period of 3-6 months, to cover whilst they run a permanent recruitment process. There is the possibility this placement could convert from temporary to permanent, should both sides agree.

What will the role involve?

  • Production of management accounts for the group within the set monthly timetable; accompanied by quality reports and analysis to provide detailed understanding of variances and trends against budget and forecast expectations;
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations for review and approval;
  • Manage the preparation and submission of the Group's monthly payroll and pension returns;
  • Prepare annual P60 and P11D documentation, as well as managing the Group's annual PSA calculations and payments;
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly trading and cash flow forecasts, continually ensuring that the Group's cash flow report remains up-to-date and accurate;
  • Provide a business partnering service to the Group's functional Directors; developing reports for monthly review of the departmental trading results and providing sufficient supporting data and analysis to aid full understanding of same;
  • Work closely with the Group Financial Controller and senior functional managers with the preparation of the annual medium-term planning and budget processes;
  • Monitor and manage the reporting of actual and forecast trading performance versus loan covenant requirements, alongside maintaining detailed calculations of loan indebtedness, e.g. interest payments, etc. and ensuring all commitments are approved and executed in line with agreed facility timetables;
  • Ensure that CPD requirements are adhered to, requesting line manager support and as when felt appropriate.

Suitable Candidate:

  • You will have a strong academic background, being ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with first-class verbal and written communication skills. Qualified by experience may be consider with the right supporting experience.
  • Proven commercial finance/business partnering experience, with excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage day-to-day tasks to achieve tight deadlines;
  • Flexibility and adaptability to build positive relationships with relevant stakeholders at all levels across the business, remaining objective and preserving a strong sense of commercial awareness;
  • Strong understanding of Excel to upper-intermediate standard.
