Broster Buchanan are working on an exclusive basis to recruit a Manufacturing Analyst for a manufacturing business based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire.

The Manufacturing Analyst is an exciting opportunity to play an integral part in the development and implementation of continuous improvement practice into the manufacturing site. The role reports directly into the Head of Commercial Finance but will working extremely closely with the Head of Manufacturing.

The responsibilities within the Manufacturing Analyst role will be:

To challenge the status quo and drive efficiency in the operation through process improvements and feedback to the operation.

Support the manufacturing operation in identifying, quantifying and implementing cost saving initiatives.

To develop and generate appropriate KPI reports in conjunction with the operation and finance teams to be used to measure operational performance.

Development of capacity and forecasting models for medium to long term planning horizons.

Creation of a monthly variance report from standard to actual manufactured costs to support monthly financial reporting.

Investigate any cost changes with operational departments and subsequently calculate and report the impact to finance.

Support tracking and assessing impact of subsequent changes to BOMs after initial setup or budget assumptions.

To perform BOM audits as well as labour process audits including the routine timing of production processes.

To assist in the analysis of stock at quarter end; to derive a reasonable stock valuation as well supporting the quarterly stock take process.

Any other tasks reasonably within the capability of the job holder.

To Apply for this role you will need to have:

A background in Continuous Improvement with principles of lean manufacturing or any relevant continuous improvement methodology
Reporting experience in a finance setting.
Tracking of cost change or reporting vs budget.
Understanding of bill of materials and labour routings.
Advanced Excel Skills
Tableau experience
SQL query writing experience
Alteryx experience
