Financial Controller - Northamptonshire

We are supporting a leading Northamptonshire based business who require a Financial Controller to take on a wide ranging office based role. Taking on responsibility for the finance team you will support the Finance Director and Managing Director as well as the Operational teams in much of their day to day work.

As a leader in their field and on a firm financial footing, this an exciting phase for the business who are seeking to grow their brand and consider further acquisitions. You will need to be hands-on and reactive to situations as they arise as well as being client facing and fully aware of an SME environment which will need the finance infrastructure to grow.

The successful candidate will look after the business accounting activities both on a monthly and annual basis. As part of the business management team, the company require someone who is strategic and business facing, managing the P&L and cash-flow to support the next stage of growth. This is an opportunity to have real impact on building the finance function in terms of both process, quality, and systems as the Company continues to grow. You will be involved with contract review as well as project related work.

Qualifications/Experience

• Qualified or Qualified by Experience
• Business control experience from sectors including Engineering, Logistics, Leisure would be an advantage
• Exposure to insurance
• IT literate
• Management of a team
• Analytic experience
• Good Communication & cooperation skills towards the wider business
• Proven track record to work against deadlines on several areas
