The Opportunity

The bank now has an opportunity for a lawyer to join for 12 months. In this position, you will play a key role in drafting and managing retail banking documents for the business, primarily related to lending. As part of a small legal team, you will work closely with senior management; you will also work closely with the wider business and advise on a range of day to day matters common in the running of a UK bank, including general commercial matters.

About You

A lending background would be useful, with knowledge of banking consumer products and the regulatory framework around these also being helpful. A broad finance or general commercial skill-set would also be considered. Key will be a commercial approach and the ability and an interest in a varied role. A positive, can-do attitude and enthusiasm for working with people and building relationships is also key. The role requires a commercial or financial services lawyer ideally with some lending experience who would like to step into a varied role, working closely with the business.
