Adele Carr Financial Recruitment is delighted to be assisting a high profile and award winning company with the recruitment of a Financial Controller.


Reporting to the Group Directors, the scope of the role will be to ensure the accounts department provides financial information to the company board ensuring all accounting policies and procedures, both company and statutory are adhered to.


You will provide advice to the Group Managing Directors, both commercially and functionally, ensuring that they are kept fully informed of financial matters within the company.


Key

Responsibilities:


* Produce monthly management accounts with the assistance of the Finance Manager

* Produce annual statutory accounts

* Coordinate the annual audit

* Work with the Group MD's and the management team to produce the budgets and the rolling forecasts

* Annually prepare and present the Company Strategic Plan with the Group MD's and the management team

* Ensure daily cashflow forecast is reflective of current position

* Produce relevant information for inclusion within the Company Board Report

* Produce a financial report for land acquisitions with reference to the company budget and most recently presented strategic plan

* Analyse all available information to seek out trends and report accordingly to the management team

* Take ownership of overheads budget

* Ensure the right calibre of staff are recruited; staff appraisals etc

* Process improvement


The successful applicant will actively participate as part of the company's management team in the general running of the company, minimising financial risks, the maximising of opportunities and achieving the company's targets and seeking to positively influence the progression and growth of the company. The Person:

* Ideally a fully Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA)

* Knowledge of the construction industry preferred

* Strong communicator with influencing skills

* Proven management experience

* Positive and helpful personality

* Motivational skills

* Sage Line 50 experience/Strong Excel
