An opportunity for an experienced Accounts Assistant has arisen with a local and long-standing organisation based near Bodmin on a permanent basis.

This role is tailored for an Accounts Assistant with well-rounded experience of accounts payable and accounts receivable with strong reconciliation skills. This is a busy and fast-paced role that will require an ability to be able to manage your time effectively as you will need to be able to prioritise the transactional element of the role effectively alongside the reconciliation work.

Reporting into the Financial Controller you will be responsible for the following:

  • Accounts Payable
  • Invoice processing; raising Purchase Orders and preparing and processing weekly payment runs
  • Accounts Receivable
  • Sales invoice processing
  • Inputting sales invoices onto the system
  • Entering cash receipts
  • Sending statements to customers
  • Issuing internal reports to sales staff and management team
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Other finance tasks as required by the Financial Controller

In order to be considered you must have:

  • Previous experience of working in a similar position and, in particular, a strong accounts payable background with extensive reconciliation experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent organisational skills with a proven ability to be able to prioritise key tasks effectively
