Grant Thornton is making a major investment in the formation of Grant Thornton Economics an economics consultancy to provide specialist economic analysis across all our legal, corporate and public sector clients. Our Economics team will work across the firm, allowing economists to provide part of a solution to a wider problem as well as conducting projects where economics itself holds the solution. As such we need candidates who positively welcome a culture of collaboration. A look into the role


As an Operations Assistant Manager you will responsible for;

Business Development - Take ownership of offerings document, master credentials, pipeline, team BD tracker. Structure proposals and complete relevant sections e.g. credentials, CVs, compliance requirements and work with the Partner or Director on timeline, methodology and other requirements. Establish relationships with other parts of the firm and track and develop opportunities with them. Develop BD materials for internal and external market including thought leadership. Develop key relationships externally including with law firms and corporates. Organise marketing and client events that promote team and offerings

Project work - Undertaking analysis and writing sections of reports under the supervision of more senior team members. Data collection both externally and from clients, managing data requests and queries

Operations - Tracking of WIP, timely billing and cash collection on all projects. Financial arrangements with other business units. Budget management. Tracking quality assurance and risk processes and supporting as required. Team management â€" scheduling of reviews, tracking training etc. Ensuring compliance with risk management and any other requirements and ensuring team is up to date with requirements

Team organisation- Diary management. An ability to organise, anticipate, plan and prioritise workload and work under high pressure to tight deadlines. An ability to, interpret and follow complex information and instruction. Effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to use own initiative. An ability to work effectively as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to use the Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint to deliver executive-level products. A high level of discretion and tact in handling sensitive and confidential matters
