Credit Analyst
The Role
- Requiring, analyzing and approving new customer credit applications
- Research trade and bank references for new customer
- Assist credit manager with developing best practices for credit department.
- Periodically review existing customers ensuring compliance to corporate credit policy
- Review and address credit hold on all orders on daily basis
- Run credit reports using web-based tools for new and existing customers
- Work closely with collections team to identify early warning signs of a customer deterioration
- Establish payment schedules for customers who are delinquent by working with site controllers and collections team.
- Support Master Data role including entering new customers info and update existing customers
- Review new and existing customers in the D&B platform
- Monitor payment plans
The Candidate
- Associate Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent experience
- 3-5 years related work experience in a related field in a corporate environment.
- Strong understanding of A/R processes
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, credit practices and collections
- Investigate and resolve customer queries and credit holds
- Able to analyze problems and strategize.
- Able to handle difficult or challenging situations with diplomacy, tact and professionalism.
- Proficient in PC skills, accounting software, Internet-based programs, MS Office Suite, especially Excel Prior experience with credit rating tools such as D&B a plus
- ERP experience with JD Edwards a plus
