This newly created role will form the inception of the firm's pricing committee and report into its chief operating officer (COO). It will work closely with the firm's practice group leaders and central management team to include its chief executive.


You will be involved in setting up the firm's pricing ambition and strategy, providing strategic advice on pricing models and ensuring that our partners are supported with negotiations on any aspect of this. You will also lead the setup of a global pricing committee. You will work closely with the COO on our future strategy for pricing and be instrumental in contributing to its shape.


  • Ability to project the pricing agenda into the firm and personify it.
  • Act as a trusted advisor and coach to the partners on effective pricing options.
  • Giving strategic pricing input on RFPs, cases and transactions;
  • Take on a client-facing role during pricing negotiations.
  • Influence and guide Partners with client pricing negotiations through presenting digestible data and recommendations on negotiation strategy.
  • Perform financial modelling to support pricing decisions, improve the firm's pricing analytics capabilities and better understand and predict costs of delivering work.
  • Develop metrics and reporting tools to clearly illustrate trends and analysis of pricing performance.
  • Contribute to establishing the Firm's global pricing model.
  • Develop strategy around pricing alternatives (AFAs) and monitor these whilst providing reporting on such matters as necessary.
  • Review performance of existing and historic pricing agreements to identify opportunities for enhancing current and future performance, and identify proactive methods of dealing with issues that may arise from existing arrangements.
  • Coach and support Partners in understanding pricing levers and their commercial impact.
  • Challenge accepted norms and make suggestions where improvements can be adopted.

Skills and experience required

  • Extensive and proven experience of providing strategic pricing support within a professional services environment
  • Excellent internal and external client management skills
  • Confident and clear communication (verbal and written) with people at all levels of the business hierarchy.
  • Ability to understand and analyse complex problems and identify appropriate solutions while working to a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Able to influence and build strong working relationships with internal and external clients and colleague.
