Do your strengths lie in working with the operations understanding manufacturing KPI's? This role breaks the mould of a normal Management Accountant, you will be encouraged to work with the operation on a day to day basis.
Why has labour spend increased? What has caused the significant increase in materials variance? The type of questions that can be answered by being close to the action on the factory floor, it's therefore a good move for the proactive accountant who enjoys knowing the context of the numbers in their work.
You can also expect to take the reigns for all budgeting/forecasting for the factory, producing factories KPI reports with full commentary and recommendations. This is not a big corporate business where you are governed with red-tape, its a profitable SME with direct exposure to the leadership team, but you have the backing and full support from a hands on Financial Controller.
Ideal for Finalist/Newly Qualified Finance Business Partner who doesn't have the scope to change and improve, its fast paced and challenging at times, but the experience you could get in 12-18 months in this role will be significant.
This would make a great move for an accountant who is looking to do more business partnering, 3 weeks of the month will "value adding" so if you are reading this with a background in manufacturing and looking to take your next step, please call us today on 0115 960 7000 for the spec and we can answer any questions you may have.
