Elevation Accountancy & Finance are currently partnered with this rapidly evolving & growing distribution business based in the Rotherham Area to recruit an Experienced & Enthusiastic Credit Controller to join their close knit and friendly team, initially Temporary on-going with a view to be made permanent!

Reporting to the Credit Control Manager, you will be working within the Credit Control team, to proactively manage a portfolio of members, ensuring debts are kept to a minimum and accounts are closely monitored. Key responsibilities will include:

* Responsible for a member portfolio of around 120 accounts with over 15,000 invoices raised monthly
* Dealing with member queries and escalating internally and externally to ensure resolution
* Managing of cash receipts, ensuring receipts are posted and allocated efficiently and accurately
* Ensuring debtors are chased and payments due are pre-empted, with any issues to be escalated immediately
* Communication with members by phone and e-mail
* Ensure all communication is accurately logged and documented
* Provide full document support to members i.e. statements, copy invoices/credits etc.
* Promote new innovations within the business including encouraging members to access their own documents via an on-line portal
* Raising manual documents, accruing interest on late payments, following stop procedures and general company processes
* Any additional tasks that reflect the business needs

As the successful applicant will take ownership of some of the organisation's largest accounts, they will bring the following experience:

* Previous Credit Control experience is essential, preferably at least 5 years in a similar environment
* Proven team player and ability to be flexible
* Strong IT skills, in particular with Microsoft Excel
* Organisational skills and attention to detail are essential due to the volume of invoicing through the group
* Working knowledge of Microsoft AX would be beneficial
* Confident telephone manner and communication skills
* Ability to build strong relationships with members
* A willing and adaptable aptitude to provide support to the Credit Control and in turn the Finance team
